‘Neglecta’. (Jens Wilken Hornemann, in Hort. Hafn. 1, 55, 1813). IB; 8-18″ (20-45 cm); late midseason bloom. Color Class-B3L; Light blue bicolor, 2n=24. Prince 1835; ( Iris variegata X Iris sambucina ?).

NOTE: This Iris provided the name for the color class exhibiting this pattern. Originially described as a species but it became clear that this was an early hybrid. You may find references to it written Iris neglecta Hornem., Iris x neglecta, and as a tall bearded cultivar ‘Neglecta’ although since it was first recorded it would now be classed as an MTB.
